Talent Camp Odense is an international talent development camp organised by Filmværksted Odense.

Each year, approximately 20 emerging filmmakers aged 21–30 are selected to take part in an intensive, week-long programme of masterclasses, workshops and peer-to-peer exchange.

The camp focuses on developing creative skills, strengthening artistic voices and building long-lasting international networks for new filmmakers.

Talent Camp Odense takes place in Odense in week 35. During the same week, the Odense International Film Festival takes place in the city.

While participants will and can experience the festival atmosphere, Talent Camp Odense is an independent programme organised by Filmværksted Odense and is not part of the festival.

The aim of Talent Camp Odense is to support a new generation of filmmakers by strengthening both their craft and their international connections — increasing their opportunities to move forward in the film industry.

Talent Camp Odense is an intensive, week-long programme centred around workshops, masterclasses and collaborative sessions designed to develop your skills as a filmmaker.

Throughout the week, participants take part in sessions led by invited film professionals and also the staff at Film Workshop Odense.
The programme emphasises learning through practice, critical reflection and exchange between participants from different cultural and professional backgrounds.

In addition to the structured programme, Talent Camp Odense provides the chance to meet filmmakers from across the world, and gain a stronger film network.

Talent Camp Odense takes place at Filmværksted Odense in Odense, Denmark, in late August (week 35).

The camp runs from Monday to Friday, with an overnight stay until Saturday morning. Talent Camp Odense is held as an independent programme organised by Filmværksted Odense.

During the same week, the Odense International Film Festival takes place in the city. While participants may encounter the festival environment in Odense, Talent Camp Odense is not part of the festival programme.

The application submission for 2025 has now closed, but stay tuned for Talent Camp Odense 2026.

The participation fee for Talent Camp Odense is 275 EUR.

The fee includes:

• Participation in the Talent Camp programme (Monday–Friday)

• Accommodation in a single hotel room from Monday to Saturday

• Two collective dinners

• Accreditation ticket Odense International Film Festival

Travel to and from Odense, as well as most meals, must be covered by yourself.

Talent Camp Odense is organised by Filmværksted Odense. Festival accreditation is included as an added opportunity during the week, but the camp itself is an independent talent development programme.
